Smart thinking I wish I would've did that. Now I have two broken trans and 1000 dollars wasted. All your saying sounds good I just don't know about the spec 3+ that's what I have it's very aggressive and grabby. Probably why I broke my two stockers. I'm probably gonna change to a McLeod rst when I order.

Not that I'm worried about it anytime soon but how much is a working MT82 worth?

Cheap design and plastic shift fork pads. The welding isn't very good either on then shift fork.

I have a spec 2+ now in my mt-82 really like the way it performs and feels 3+ holds 175 ft-lb more then the spec 2+, still only $489 , twin disc is over kill and costs 3 times more..sticking with spec! If i had 1000 hp i'd consider a twin disc! And even then i'd go with spec!

Yeah maybe the stage 2+ would be a better route but mine is on and off not smooth. When it grabs it grabs. There is no play in the middle. I couldn't even leave from second anymore or ease into it with out it bucking. I had to just about be getting on it to come out some what smooth but maybe break in would've been better.
