Msd two step (8731)

Anyone have any experiance with the MSD two step at the track? Want to add a two step without a tuner, just looking for input on how well it functions and easy of install.

This really isnt a good tech or racing forum. Try s197forums

Besides that the msd 2 steep id very easy to install take about 2 hours going very slow doinf it your first time. If you worried about the tune because of your warrenty, Ford could reject any motor or electronics claim if you show up with a 2step on. also unless your running slicks and trying to knock anither 1/10th off your 60' or have a turbo your trying to boost i would advise you just learn to hold your foot still. Leaving your foot to the floor is no way to race especally on street rubber. Learing to feather the throttle will make you a much better and more constiant driver that just launching off a 2 step.

2 steps are great, but you need TRACTION to get off the line hard.If your not running slicks at the track or drag radials on the street with a modded suspension for leaving the line hard you dont need a two step.

Hoping I could take it off in a hurry if anything were to happen before I took it to Ford. I've run a 2 step before in my old 5.0 and no matter how good you are at holding your foot still can't beat a 2 step.

Copy that! Running some ET streets so hopefully traction shouldnt be a problem.
