Mod Friendly Dealer in Southen California
I live in Upland, CA which is in the Inland Empire. I work in Alhambra. I am looking for a dealer that is mod friendly that is local. I have been going to Wondries Ford in Alhambra. I asked them about a Steeda short shift and bracket install. They informed me that the shifter base bushing was OK but that the short shifter would void my transmission warranty. They also told me that changing my suspensions would void my brake warranty. This has frozen my ability to Mod my car.
I understand that modding my car will void that parts warranty. The attached auxiliary pieces is news to me. My warranty is too important to me. This is my first car that had a warranty in about a decade. I would like to keep the piece of mind that it gives me till it runs out.

I would just go to GTR and let them handle the install and not worry about the dealer.
If you keep the stock shift ****/boot most dealers will never know the difference.
I totally understand your concern but here is the deal,
Ford issued TSB to all dealers awhile back concerning mods and some dealers are strict and will look for tunes etc.
My local dealer is Buerge Ford and I took my 2011 5.0 in for oil changes with a blower and LT headers,MGW shifter and all kinds of other mods and they never said a word.
I also have a 25 year relationship with this dealer and that makes a difference of course.
I know it sounds kind of messed up but like others said if you are worried about voiding your warranty just keep it stock.
GTR handled my MGW install and did a tech article for 5.0 Magazine

Can't afford to risk no warranty right now so I remain modless.

Yes, go to GTR! IMHO they're the best in SoCal. They did a great job on tuning my 12' 5.0.

Thank you to everyone for their answers! I appreciate you all taking the time to point me in the direction of places that do quality work. One of my friends sent me to his dealer and the service manager put my mind at ease in regard to modding my car. Christmas is putting of my suspension work till January. I cant wait!

Not trying to hijack your thread Rich, but I created a page for SoCal Stangers:

Btw guys, does GTR do blowers? That's something I will be doing once my warranty and maintenance plan expire.

Power Ford in Torrance never minded my blower, long tube,s full suspension, race seats, and harnesses on my last car. They have also worked on y modded Boss 302 with no questions asked.
