MMR CAI FOR 2011 5.0 GT... ANYONE GOT ONE YET???

We have one on order since May 13th and MMR said it was shipped on Thursday but provided no tracking number after asking twice for one. They originally said when the order was placed that they sold out of their first 25 kits overnight and mine was going to be from the second batch but I have yet to see or hear anyone that has gotten and installed one.

Anyone?

If they are correct on when it shipped ours will be here first part of next week and we will do a back to back dyno test to see if the claimed 21hp gain with no tune are true. We will also back to back track test the CAI as well.

Baseline totally stock track times coming tomorrow.

Hey JJ how many miles you got on her now?

Is she 'broken in' yet?

Over 500 miles and very well broken in. I have been practicing my flat foot shifting technique for the track tomorrow.

any appearance of the clutch not engaging fully and sticking to the floor when you powershift or almost powershift like Gene k on here and Pacsettr on s197 has experienced?

No mine is shifting like a dream. I can literally leave my right foot on the floor and stab the clutch and shift as quick as possible thru all gears with ease. I'm actually quite impressed with how quickly I can shift this car.

Has any of these guys gone back to their respective dealerships to check with service. I would just say clutch has issues when driven somewhat hard. Hope they don't mention anything about powershifting.

Finally called and recieved tracking number from MMR today after two emails that went unanswered asking for that information. Turns out it didnt ship until last Friday (was told Thurs) and will not be here until Friday. I was told that they would expedite shipping to me so I could test this unit in a timely fashion but they must not be interested in having a third party test it due to it shipping regular ground and it taking a week to get here.

I will however do an unbiased test of the unit and post up the results once it arrives here.

Your customer server experience has already made me decide not to get one. What kind of response would you get from them if something was missing or broken????

Might be a reason they are in no hurry. May make negative hp.

Their customer service over the phone is horrible. But I've dealt with them in person and they are cool and know their stuff. Their products are just rebadged Granatelli and C&L stuff however.

They have actually been pretty good overall on communicating with me the progress of these kits being produced. The only poor communication was a lack of email response for a tracking number but once I called I got it within 2 minutes. It would have been nice if they would have shipped it a bit quicker or 3 day it to me since I will be testing it but I'm sure they did what they felt was right. If it does not make the power that its claimed to make or atleast makes close to it then the unit will be boxed up and shipped back for a refund. I dont even care if they charge me a restocking fee, I just want to test it and see what kind of gains I actually see with no tuning. I would be excited and love it if the car picked up 20 hp with just this CAI, that would put our WMS test car at over 400rwhp with no tuning.

I can see how they might have put the cart before the Horse on this one but thats to be expected when nobody else is offering a CAI for the car at the moment and they expect to sell quite a few of these initially and if it does what is advertised and I put my stamp of approval on the unit then I'm sure they will sell a hell of alot more of them as well.

Hey Tucker, You planning on making an intake for the Gt500? I had you CAI on my old Mach 1 and loved it... If you need a test car, I might be able to schedule a road trip to Va! Assuming Ford ever sends it to me.
