LT's w/ Borla... Overkill?

If I put LT's on my car w/ my Borla ATAK catback, will it just be stupid loud? I want headers but my car is a daily driver... Thanks for any input.... I love the sound of my ATAK setup now bc i can control the volume and I don't want to get pulled over all the time.

It will definitely be loud as hell. If you love your exhaust now, don't mess with it.

My car, which has the stock shorty headers, offroad X-pipe and muffler deletes, is crazy loud when I get on it. When crusing, or if you want to be quiet, you still can.

With long tubes and actual mufflers (ATAK) in place, I think you'll be ok. If not, swap out the ATAK for a set of GT500's and you'll probably love the sound more anyways!

Go w/ cats on your LT setup and it won't be stupid loud. My setup is loud only at WOT - perfectly quiet when I wan't it to be; nice setup for the street IMO.

Don't be stupid..........lol get the long tubes...are you crazy. Your car will sound awesome, gain power, and be ready for every other mod you do down the road, other than turbo.

I'm going to be doing Borla XR-1 LT's and a full ATAK system. Not worried if it's loud, it's a Mustang.

Ya... I've been having a toss up on which brand I want to go with... I had my heart set on kooks until I heard a 5.0 with the American Racing LTs... but now that you mention it, it would be nice to have Borla head to tail... hmmm...

Borla all the way bro. Nothing I've heard compares to the ATAK system. Again, this is my opinion but how do you say no to the ATAK set up.........

I think Borla is the set up to go with if you want that classic Mustang sound, and Stainless Works (or something similar) if you want the exotic/Italian V8 high-RPM screamer sound.

Haha, that's true - buddy of mine said, "Why does your car sound like a Ferrari or something at WOT?"

No one will believe me but I'd swear my stock headers, O/R X, and Magnaflow tame axleback was LOUDER than my American Racing Longtubes, O/R X, and Magnaflow tame axleback. At the very least it's a draw.

Now when I put the Pypes mid-muffler system behind the longtubes it got real loud in a hurry.

Your power gain is all from intake/tune/LTS/Exhaust? Thats a pretty big gain. Is your tune really aggressive? I'm looking to do N/A power mods (was looking at CAI/Boss Mani/LT/High flow cat x pipe/Custom Tune). Looking at full exhaust with Boss Mani to minimize tourque loss

With those mods, you'd be over 400RWHP. Depending on what tune you decide to go with, could be 450-460RWHP. I'd either go with a Bama 93 Performance or Race tune or a Lund Racing tune.

I have 2011, and have borla atak cat bak installed. Did you install the xr-1's?
I really need an opinion?
Will it be better than kooks or arh?

Haven't installed headers yet though I've decided on the ARH 1 7/8" LT's with an off-road X-pipe. The merge collectors on those headers are larger than the XR-1's and will provide better performance.

Have a buddy that's has CAI, boss manifold, LT's, o/r x pipe, and AB's with a custom dyno tune and he put down 476 whp and pulls 11.20's in the 1/4 mile.
