I got home early today so I decided to load for the first time my 93 race tune. I have been using the 93 performance tune for about 3 weeks now. After the tune loading, when I first started the car, it idles a little bit rough, probably 10-20 seconds. It was fine after that. Is there a learning time when a new tune is loaded for the first time? I don't know if the race tune makes more power than the performance tune since I only drove car for about 5 miles. It definitely felt 'livelier' to me.

Another observation, after loading the 93 race tune, I can not use the USB 2 port now. It keeps saying that it is an empty port. I have my little thumb drive plugged in there. I had to move the thumb drive to the USB port under the armrest. Also, there are 2 dashes on the lower left screen of the radio display that won't go away.

Can't help with the USB but the two dashes are for the compass. Every great once in a while mine won't pickup a reading and show the dashes but always goes away the next time I start the car.

You can always do an idle re-learn
Mustang GT Idle re-learn instructions:

1. *With the vehicle at a compete stop, set the parking brake.

2 *Put the gearshift in P (Park) (automatic transmission) or the neutral position (manual transmission), turn off all accessories and start the engine.

3. *Run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature.

4. *All the engine to idle for at least one minute.

5. Turn the A/C on and allow the engine to idle for at least one minute.

6. *Drive your Ford Mustang gt to complete the relearning process.

The vehicle may need to be driven 10 miles or more to relearn the idle and fuel trim strategy.If you do not allow the engine to relearn its idle trim, the idle quality of your vehicle may be adversely affected until the idle trim is eventually relearned.
