I live in Maine, No emission testing, but who knows what the future will bring.

Good luck OP and let us know how it gets remedied.

Yeah,....the "green" Kooks stuff is supposed to pass emissions.
If it doesn't pass with the new stuf Kooks sends you, you have to go after the tuner. I'm willing to bet it's the tune all along though.
Good luck man, I hope you get to the bottom of it soon. (Let us know when it is fixed and what the fix was.)

In case they do though, that's why I want Cats that will pass.
Most states don't perform sniffer tests anymore, unless the vehicle in question is 1995/96 and older that don't have OBD II ports.. Otherwise, emission testing is done exclusively through the vehicle's OBD II port..

Depending on your states emission exemption requirements.. Most usually require 5000 miles or less per year in counties which are required to pass emission inspection.. Certain counties and rural areas are automatically exempt altogether..

I would also ask for labor costs as well, but if they don't offer it, at least they're swapping the green catted mid pipe for you at no additional cost which is better than nothing at all

I change my off road pipe and catted
Kooks pipe out about once or twice a year.

Sure is easy on a lift but I've done it on cribs too. It's more of a nuisance than anything. I'd say an hour including jacking the vehicle up and making sure the over axle pipes and axle backs are lined up right afterward. Plus you generally have to retighten once after it's gone through a year cycle.

Nothing on the NEW Green catted h-pipe from Kook's. This new can is supposed to have a higher content of Platinum, so Kook's believe that will fix the problem.
I will keep you all posted when things start happening.

I'm not following you when you say, "new can".
You mean a new can of octane boost or a new canned tune?
