Killed the drone, finally.

I started out with a Hushpower axleback, and the sound was just great. After adding a Lethal h-pipe, it got much louder but was tolerable in the cabin with just a slight hint of drone at 2k-2.2k. Over time though, the exhaust continued to get louder and the drone more pronounced. Finally, I started getting headaches on the commute home, and knew it was time to fix the problem.

Pulled the Hushpowers and swapped in GT500 mufflers. The drone isn't there at all, and it's definately quieter in the cabin. From the outside, my first impressions are a nice throaty sound, so we'll see how it goes as the muffler breaks in. It's pouring rain right now so I couldn't quite get into it yet.

Thanks to all that recommended the GT500 mufflers...

Ive noticed that with just the back seats down you can hear the exhaust much better. Not that I do that on the regular!

I have GT500's to put on my Boss. I havent measured but the exhaust tips look longer than on my stick axle bacjs. Do your tips stick out farther than the stock mufflers?
