JLT's 2011 GT plastic CAI update
We just got the proto type tube in today to give the OK on.
It looks awesome!
It's rotational molded cross link plastic and will be offered in a standard black plastic finish or a body color matched painted finish.
This tube is modeled after the Carbon Fiber unit that has proven to make some serious HP.
Now get this, retail cost on the standard finish is only $299 and a $20 upgrade for exact body color matched.
That's cheaper then the competition by $50-90
We will be updating the web site shortly and shipping kits in 2-3 weeks (color will be another week or so)
I will get this tube painted Kona Blue next week and post up pictures.
Thank you for your patients and you will not be disappointed
Jay

Man, I can't wait for this CAI to start shipping! It looks very good and it's just what I was looking for to put under my hood. Excellent work!

The strut caps are from CPC and we custom trimmed and painted them. (sorry we no longer sell them)
As for the Boss, I'd have to get one here and I don't see that happening right away. Spread the word that we need one to test on, but I don't think any of the 5.0 kits will fit with that new throttle body angle. I hope I'm wrong...
We will be starting a pre order list on the plastic CAI very soon and I'll be sure to post up the info.
Thanks
Jay

Thanks,
Sorry, but we no longer sell blue filters.
The blue dye would fade fast and turn a greyish color. It still filtered the same, but lost it's color. So we stopped selling them. We do have blue cleaner kits, so if someone wanted they could clean the red out and change it to blue.
Thanks and we will be releasing plastic kits in the next 2 weeks and colored in 3-4 weeks.

What's the estimated price of one painted candy metallic red to match my car?
I'm wanting to also get the plug covers on top of the valve covers painted with the same paint as well so having a matching intake would be that much sweeter.
Also, AM Chris, looking forward to seeing how this one stacks up against the AirRaid!

Sorry, we do not use the Candy Red as it is a very expensive 3 stage paint. We do use Redfire which is very close. I hope to get one in to do a compare picture.
