More information is always a good thing.

My main concern for any intake is to get a good flow of ambient air. The stock airbox already does this, so I did not get an aftermarket intake for this car, like I did for my Charger. I do have the Steeda SCT/X3, mostly for the auto-shifting benefits, and I told Gus when I ordered it that I am keeping the stock intake. I do like the tunes he set me up with!

None of that seemed like it was really worth it overall. None of it.

Perhaps I am just blind or something.

Old thread, but I thought I would add my .02 cents for all of the Negative ProCal reviews.

In my opinion, the ProCal provides the kind of driving experience the Mustang should have come with from the factory.

A ProCal in your Automatic 2011+ Mustang may be for you if:

1) You don't have a personal Money tree growing in your backyard and can't afford to cough up the cold hard cash to replace a $8,000 -10,000 engine should you end up with a Cyl# 8 issue from a "aftermarket" tune.

2) You like Improved gas mileage (I have seen MPG's of "mix" driving go from 14-16mpg up to 16-19mpg)

3) You live in the Midwest (KC for example) and only have crappy 91 oct Premium (95% of which is loaded with crappy Ethanol).

4) You prefer a "Drivability" Tune over a "All-out, on the ragged edge, Race" tune. Sure an "aftermarket" tune will get you an extra Tenth or Two at the drag strip, but unless you "live your life a 1/4 mile at a time" then its not a huge deal.

The Pro Cal tune is ho hum at best, nothing more. And on the autos it's even worst.
