My understanding is the new Shift Rod makes all the difference not the shifter persa. It is the rod hanging up most of the time. My understanding is the new shifter fixing it all for sure.

I'll add my two cents worth, I made several fast back to back passes at a 1/4 mile Drag Strip and had a problem with the clutch pedal not wanting to return fully. I had a MGW 1st Generation Installed, the Shifter Worked Faultlessly! I replaced the Restrictive Stock Factory Clutch Line with a Joe Heck Non-Restrictive SS Clutch Line, Problem totally went away! Plus the Clutch Pedal Effort is Less and Smoother and one can feel the Take Up Point When Letting The Clutch Out!

Anybody tried their MGW extensively in cold weather? While the fast shifting for drag racing, etc. is nice, my biggest problem with the stock shifter is that it's clunky and requires very slow shifts in the winter, and I almost can't use 2nd gear unless I'm at a dead stop. Does the MGW help in those situations?

Simply put, yes Kyle. Had mine for almost 3 years now. I even have the old one. I can't imagine how much better the new MGWs are, more so the race spec.

Does anyone know how much MGW charges to have it installed at their facility in Augusta? I ask because I don't see it on their website.

I had always thought that they installed their shifters for free.

I gotta add that MGW is probably the best company I've ever dealt with. I was reminded of that again when I was installing my new aluminum bushing to go with my non race spec shifter I got a year ago. The packaging is so well put together, instructions are clear and complete, customer service is awesome and of course the product is unbeatable.

they do it for no charge. George will do the install. He's done it twice for me now. You'll need to call and set up an appointment, don't even bother trying for the weekend.

Thanks everyone for the quick response. If he does it for free (which seems too good to be true) I don't see any reason not to cruise on down and have a pro with lots of experience do it.

Thanks!
