Yeah I did a version of it on a car colored like mine. I even threw on some stripes as well. This is how it came out!

Man I hope they load some more options into it. Especially all the different hoods like the Venom hood, or the Saleen. Then maybe the RTR or other aftermarket wheels. Oh the places we could go with that!

Another critique of the site is that you choose a custom item and finish by going to "Car Summary" to find out that the item is only "Concept" and can't be purchased. I too would rather see more aftermarket items that can be purchased. I am wondering if Ford is not using the site as a marketing tool to see what custom items we choose so it can produce them later as options when ordering a car.

I think that is part of what they are doing. The other part is to generate excitement about what can be done with the cars. There are so many appearance parts out there and Ford wants current customers and potential customers to know how customizable the cars are. But most assuredly they are also paying attention to the parts and combinations that are getting the most "hits". Companies nowadays rarely do this type of thing for fun. Its all about sales and $$$$! Thought the parts they chose were pretty random. I mean they have the RTR spoiler and graphics but why not the chin spoiler or rear valance? Why not being able to change the rear valance at all? I think the tool was put out there pretty quickly with just a "taste" to see how popular it would be and see how much buzz it generates. Then possibly release a full tool later on with more parts.

Or it could just be a project that will fall to the wayside not being fully realized. I know alot of guys on the forum would die for this exact thing, but with all aftermarket parts that can be added. Im one of them. It would help so many people decide what parts to purchase and fully visualize their car pre-purchase.

Not a fan of that hood at all. The Boss 302S hood looks 10x better.

Well when I say Saleen I mean the VIS racing version in fiberglass. Possibly the carbon fiber one. Basically whichever one I have enough money for when the time comes.

Oh that's not as bad. I've learned if its a good replica and the original is expensive, then the replica is still pretty pricey too. It'll be worth it though I'm sure

Nice hood, It looks great. I had a Cervinis hood on my Lightning. The quality is top notch. I'll be putting the 4" on my 2012 GT along with some other front and rear end changes.

you can order a OEM '13 hood with the vents here for decently cheap (~same price as aftermarket hoods)
