Am curious as to why they went aluminum.
Typically heavier than composite but prone to heat soak (Boss and Cobra Jet aftermarket intakes are composite).
Handle nitrous pressures better maybe?
Possibly cheaper to make it out of aluminum and get it to market at a lower price point.

Interested as well to see dyno results versus stock intake, Boss and Cobra Jet as well as how well it does with supporting mods.

I'm thinking it's a cheaper version of the composite and sheet metal intakes. Actually, it does say that it is.
They don't show much much power/torque you can gain with this. I bet it needs supporting mods. I don't know if it will fit under a stock hood for clearance?

It looks cool...the longer runners make me think that like the Boss manifold, you'll need more revs to take advantage...which (as mentioned above) will require supporting mods.

It never ends, folks.

GT Coyote stock intake manifold is also a composite material.

With all the engineering that goes into modern OEM intakes today, aftermarket ones don't really give you much power per dollar

not crazy about the welds. they should clean them up.
I do like that it has a 90mm opening.
anyone know if it taller or not compared to the boss or CJ.

the increase CJ #'s on TQ & HP will not be easy to beat!
Let the marketing games begin. Always interested in new parts.
lets face it. Holly should have the capital to do the design / test / production / marketing at a reasonable price to us.

Problem is, not a lot of tuners support tuning the 90mm TB's. Some guys won't touch 'em. Really don't need it flow wise either as the AF unit outflows (CFM wise) both the BBK and Ford 90's. Not sure about the new Ford GT350 87mm TB. Not many willing to tune that one either....

Advantage of aluminum for doing stuff like plumbing port nitrous, or multiple stages of port nitrous. The alu can be welded and fabbed for the necessary bungs/plumbing, etc....

I agree with this statement. So much stronger and less of a chance of something going wrong.

Says power is between 2200-6800. I agree. it would be interesting to see dyne numbers. With the Boss and CJ manifold out there, why would a company spend money on R&D and bring a product to market when there are already some really good options.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I can't see this looking good under the hood, so I'm hoping they went for torque over looks.

Given the power band and a 90mm tb, I'm guessing its probably a Holley clone of the Boss intake. The advantage I think goes to strength. It should be stronger than the composites allowing you to push it harder. I believe the Boss is "only" rated at 2 bars.

Heat soak shouldn't be as much an issue for race applications which would be my guess as the target market. Just cool it with a nice drink of N2O

2 bars is a little more than 28 PSI. I don't think there are many running more than 28 PSI of boost. I agree with beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The only thing to be concerned with regarding aluminum is that it is most likely powder coated and that stuff peels off in time. So if beauty is what you are after then I would steer clear of powder coated aluminum. It typically doesn't hold up over time.

Interesting article!
Looks like it makes good power gains over 5,000 rpm.
But you also give up some low end tq.

How much are these, and who sells them?
