H pipe question

Does an H or X pipe really change the sound of the exhaust that much? Right now i have the gt500 axle backs on.

Been listening to some sound clips on youtube and really cant decide.

IMO the sound difference is significant especially at higher rpm.

I prefer the H sound. There is a slight but not significant difference between the X an the H when it comes to flows.

I do like the off road x with Borla touring set up. Not too raspy but mean.

If you delete the Cats I it will make a bigger diffrence in tone and HP gains. I will be going with the Off road H pipe from American Muscle but still a liitle scared becouse I am afraid of the drone. I also have the GT 500 Axle back.

I think X is raspier. I prefer H.

Yes they make a big difference. The X is a lot raspier and uneven sounding. The H pipe is designed to just even the flows of both sides. A lot more even and clean sound out the H.

I have a 2012 GTCS. and yes it does. I installed a ford racing x-pipe and GT500 mufflers. I raced around like a fox with my tail on fire because it sounded so good. the x pipe gives you a deeper mid range. throw in a 85mm bkk throttle body and it smooths it out more. get the x-pipe you wont regret it and they are not expensive.

Also it sounds deeper, more heavier, for lack of a better term to me.

Yes the mid range is deeper. that is a direct quote from the Ford Racing Team.

Actually I found it to be the opposite on my car(for the raspier sound). Maybe this depends on the x-pipe you get. Mine was from ford racing.
