Gt 500 axelbacks
I know ANOTHER GT 500 axelback thread. Just had mine installed today with the resonators deleted. Took it right out on the highway, between 70 & 85 in 6th gear I swear to god they're QUIETER than my stock GT exhaust !! Love the sound in town & anything above 3k. Anyway, I'm HAPPY !! Scott

Who do i need to PM to get the forum discount from AM? Going to order them this weekend. Thought heavily between the Borla S Type and the GT500, and I think the Borlas are too loud for my taste.

The PO of mine had put on an X-pipe (fine), resonator delete (OK), and Thrush welded axle-backs (WRONG!). Those damned thing were so obnoxiously loud and drone inducing that I actually got to not want to hit the accelerator. GT500s got installed this week and it's just fine now, thank you. It has the snarl and growl that a V8 is supposed to make when you use the slanty pedal, but is simply a nice, deep burble at idle, about the same as a standard GT exhaust. It kicks in with the right hand pedal.

Yesir, with a resonator delete these things sound perfect! Riding through town last night, windows down, thought man she sounds tough.
