This might be a dumb question but I thought the 5.0 manuals came with 3:55 gears but the more posts I read I'm hearing 3:31 or 3:73.Now I have 2011 5.0 manual with brake package what would be the easyest way to find out gear ratio.

 

Stock is 3.31. Both 3.55 and 3.73 are options that can be ordered.


Easiest way is to check your window sticker. If you don't see an optional package listed, then you have the 3.31 gears.

 

The cover on the rear should have the ratio on it also. Mine does.

 

I think the Canadian market Mustangs come standard with the 3.55 axle ratio.
