FRPP twin screw blower for 5.0
Anyone see the August issue of 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords? Their article on the 5.0 has a small insert with picture of a FRPP twin screw blower kit that will be available. System will include the blower, air to water intercooler, cai, and tuning.

I promised myself that if I got the 2011 I would leave it stock, now I'm openly debating cai/ tune/ exhaust already. I have to draw the line at the blower, repeat, I HAVE TO DRAW THE LINE AT THE BLOWER, man I still wanna add the blower.

I've been talking to the warranty guys at my dealer and they said its typically not a problem if Ford parts are used and the service is done there. That makes this kit all the more tempting when I finally get used to the 412hp

I've had the mag for a few weeks now, just haven't had time to post much. The article also mentions short blocks, long blocks, and exhaust kits.

I'm with this guy. I already have coil springs on the way to my local Mustang shop so I can get it dropped as soon as it comes in.

Probably going to be able to easily go fast enough normally aspirated in these cars to get you barred from running without a rollbar anyway so why try to kill it with a blower?

Anyways, I rather start taking weight out of my car and stick n/a for now. Rather then adding weight to the front end. It will be interesting though, to see what people can put down with a blower on these cars.
PS: I do want to go LS3 hunting...

There's only so much you can do on pump gas with an otherwise-stock engine and cals written with engine longevity in mind. No numbers have been released for this kit, yet, so only time will tell as to how the Whipple kit stacks up to the rest of the kits that will undoubtedly be released for this engine. If this kit is anything like the FRPP / Whipple H.O. 4.6L 3V kit, the 600 horsepower figure is a bit underrated. I guess we'll find out in a couple of months.

Just to clarify. I dont know what the FRPP version will make but Whipple ended up at 600 bhp (Crank) or 550 rwhp on their dyno at 7.0 psi which they stated was the max they recommended for the factory 11.0 Hyper Pistons and Powdered Rods. Its possible the official Ford version could come with a lower psi pulley.

Edit- I didn't see that was the max for the 5.0..hmmmmm pretty decent amount of power though..
