I'm from the SF Bay Area - I am a Ford/Mustang guy at heart, but I like a lot of different stuff and see it all around here. More so the imports. Most people around here get along too, unlike the south where it's the rivers versus the muscle cars. If I had unlimited funds, I'd have all kinds of different cars. I plan to put the "Powered by Ford" emblems on my car when I get if - a lot of people here would think it's blasphemy to take the 5.0s off but I just like the way those emblems look. I'm doing a P-51 theme and I feel the PBF emblems would go well with the theme. If I wasn't doing that theme, I'd consider doing the tribar emblems on the fenders, as I've always liked those too. Ooo I'd be putting "V6 emblems on my GT!!!" Heaven forbid!!! Lol. People are so quick to forget that the 03-04 Mach 1 had the same emblems on their fenders... Like I said, I like doing things that are unique, but I'd never up-badge my car...
So wait....wait....would you be trying to trick people into thinking you have a v6 or a Mach 1? I'm so confused.....

Lol

You are allowed to take your 5.0 badges off under one condition. You have to give them to a v6 owner...hahahaha. J/k, please don't!

This got pretty out of hand with the discussion of adding the CDC grille to a guys car.

I will lose the fogs, and my pony logo, but to look like a GT500, I am thinking I might just do it... That's one thing about modifying our cars... So many choices and options!
you can still install GTCS fogs and do tribar pony logo if you wish to go with gt500 open grill and roush lower grill delete. i have seen people painting the radiator and doing lights inside which looks cool at the car shows.

That red one looks great with the tribar!

I've thought about changing my Boss grill to a GT/CS one... I've only seen one Kona with a silver grille.. (I'm a big fan of the how the Shelby GT looked in the front)

It's crazy how you see it and something just looks "off." You have to study it to figure it out.

Not at all. I say it's your car and enjoy!

Just something about that pic... I'm willing to bet it's a v6. There's something about the stance...

Hey, how did you attach the pony emblem to the Roush grille in the center like that? Are there holes/brackets?

I don't think so. And really, the GTs always seemed to sit higher in the rear than the V6s. Unless he switched to stock GT Mufflers and Brembo Package wheels, it's a GT.

It was a bolt-on install, as it closely matched up to the horizontal and vertical slats of the Roush grille with good support. The pony & black plastic mounting bracket just needed a few minor adjustments, used my Dremel tool and a hand file for a final fit. I’ve been told it’s a factory stock Mustang II grille emblem, but I can’t say that for sure. Pics are from the stock emblem & bracket before performing the fitting adjustments:

Nice Job!

I have been looking at doing something similar. Where did you order the emblem?

Thanks Last1

I found that emblem at a local swap meet. Here’s the part numbers that were present, perhaps they can help you can source one?

D4ZB-8216-AA (chrome pony)

D4ZB-8B073 (black bracket)

No clue about the bolt part numbers or even if they are the correct ones, as the emblem was already assembled when I purchased it.

Waldo? I can't find him. Is he hiding under the GT500 sticker?
