Ford Racing Intake Manifold Cobra Jet GT 2011-2013

Does anyone know about this? Power gains...HP? TQ? It's coming out in a couple weeks, and it could be a step up from the Boss manifold. I do think that some extra mods are needed (tune, different strut-tower-brace, throttle body, air intake tube), maybe in a few months it will all be sold together as a package. I wonder if a new fuel pump would also be needed? If the power gains are significant, this could be a great mod...

That looks so much sharper than a Boss 302 manifold. Has any info bee released on it?

*Edit: I answered my own question lol. There's actually some nice info on the link, but I can't wait to see what kinda gains we see off of this.

Wow that's interesting, want to see more on this. I even have a stock 2013 GT500 throttle Body laying around, was only used for 400 miles before I got a Super Cobra Jet one.

I assume that this will be compatible with the regular Coyote 5.0. At least as long as you change the throttle body and get the Cobra Jet CAI.

This is a direct fit on the 5.0. We've had a pretty good thread going over on SVTP. No performance data has been released yet. I do know that you'll need a matching throttle body and custom intake kit as one hasn't been talked about YET by Ford Racing.

FRPP says that it should produce about 25 hp over boss intake, but I believe that is at 7750 rpms, you will need a new tb and intake, and a custom tune, you'll be close to $2k by the time it is all said and done. That picture above is not a pic of the 5.0 cj intake either, just a pic used to advertise the piece

This certainly makes me optimistic, but again, I have to see results before I even consider that kind of commitment. It does sound enticing, though.

You think this is bad? The MMR unit alone costs $1,300.

The MMR unit uses the stock TB and intake, though.

True but when I order their intake I'm throwing a 90mm and JLT kit on it.

It's gonna be a minute. Just got orders for Alaska. Plus, my N/A built motor is gonna run me about $13k.

Haha wonderful thing about these cars is they are a constant work in progress. I just dropped my car off this morning at the dealer for issues going into 5th gear. They said it'll be about a week and a half before I see it again.

As others have noted, and in my original (OP) post, let's see what the gains are. Many Mustang owners add a supercharger for $5-6k, and gain 150hp. Many add the Boss manifold for $900 (need install kit), and gain 30hp. This might be a nice middle solution. Maybe gain 75hp, 75tq. Additional equipment is required (again, see my original post), but if they combine it into a complete kit for $1000-$1300, it might be a nice, OEM, warrantied upgrade. Just sayin...

Whoa! Who is paying $900 for a boss manifold? Mine even with install kit was $550, and that's the full FRPP install kit, both were brand new. And I don't think it would be a gain of 75 hp, I would be surprised if it was 60. And there would be no tq gain, only thing mentioned on that front is that there is no more tq loss than the boss intake

When that part was first released, the price was over $700, and the kit was an additional $200, thus my aforementioned $900. Now prices are more like $500 + $175.
