I'm guessing Ford dumbed down the tune on the 7 PSI kit to keep the warranty. The power peak is a lot lower, 6400 versus 6900 rpm, and 2 PSI is not normally 100 HP. I'm guessing the 9 PSI kit has a higher redline (7200 rpm?) as well.

I'm surprised both are recommending 93 octane. Procharger and Sean Hyland kits are both rated for 91 with 7 psi. Wonder if you can run the FRPP 525 kit on 91 safely.
Gather that the hp numbers are at the crank, if so they're a little dissapointing, must be conservative tunes. At this point I'm favouring the stats, price and looks of the Sean Hyland Eaton.
I see there is a little dent in the intake tube next to the strut tower. Looks to be for brace clearance? Anybody know if the factory GT brace will clear the FRPP kits?

$6500 - $7500...
+ another $1000-1500 to have some idiot grease monkey at the stealership install?
sorry WAY TOO MUCH, at that Price I might as well have just bought a GT-500.
plus im not really a fan of air - liquid intercooling.. air - air is the best

The GT500 uses a liquid-to-air intercooler. In fact, I don't think you'll find a positive displacement supercharger that uses an air-to-air supercharger -- it's not possible.

It's pretty pricey, but I'd take the one with warranty, replace the pulleys and a new tune, probably squeeze a few more ponies out of it. If you ever needed too, you could go back to the stock set up pretty quickly.

You're not going to be running 10's with the base supercharger setup, and with a dealer install you will have a lot more than $7000 in it.
Besides, anything faster than 11.50 is going to require a rollbar and harness, a lot of stuff a owner of a street car isn't going to want to mess with.

Who said anything about 10's?

Actually you probably wouldn't even need to change the pulley.
7 psi is good for 580 hp plus if tuned to hold boost up top a bit more and not run a safe rich AFR.
Simply getting the car tuned after the warranty version is installed should yield you at least 50-60 hp more. Then go back to stock 525 hp tune if you ever needed too.
And if you want 600 hp just add a CAI and catback exhaust to it before you tune it and 600 hp should not be a problem on 7 psi.
The biggest issue I have with these kits (any of the supercharger kits) is the clutch.
They should of put the more beefy GT500 6MT in the 5.0 too.

forgive me.. if im wrong..
600 hp is 600 hp
500 torque is 500 torque
how is there "more stress" with a supercharger over N/A
and i dont see getting 600+ hp with 1/2 the investment n/a.
im not talking only positive displacement blowers either. included in my statement centri. and turbo's
