Exhaust Question

I currently have the pypes axle back on my 2012 Gt. I am thinking about purchasing the Pypes X-Pype from AM. How will this change the performance and sound?

It will smooth the sound out and add a bit of rasp, like a Nascar sound as opposed to a deep muscle car sound!!

I am extremely dissapointed with the leaking ball joints from my JBA O/R X. I have been battling it since I installed them due to the alignment being way off. I unfortunately had to resort to welding them, but the welds were done so poorly it was a waste of time, money, and hopefully not the last possible solution. BALL JOINTS ON EXHAUST SUCK!!!! The rear ball joint to my pypes axle back even leaks. I have even tried re-adjusting EVERYTHING to no avail. FML

I think you,ll like the pypes x pipe, its 3 inch going into 2.75 so the fronts bolt right up to the stock cats and the rear section gets welded to the stock size pipe(2.75).I know one person locally who has it and loves it(sounds great)and everyone i read about that has one also love it.I,m considering it,but right now i like the way it sounds with the stock h pipe with gt500 A/B and res delete.BTW you cant beat the price,140.00 from AM

I've got the Pypes 3" X Pipe welded to 3" tubing back to the GT500 axle backs deleting the resonators. It sounds low and mean at idle and really opens up on throttle, but put it in 6th it just disappears at cruise. I get plenty of compliments on the sound, it is not obnoxiously loud, just pleasing to the ear.

For me X pipe is the way to go on this car. I have a custom X pipe on mine. It sounds great and open up the car nicely.
