DSS Aluminum Driveshaft?
Hello, hello.
I’ve just finished my suspension and exhaust and am now looking at the DSS Aluminum driveshaft. Are there any reasons why I shouldn’t do this? I’m not looking for a performance gain. I’m hoping it will help eliminate the clunking while shifting.
TIA!

I have one, bought from Jay ^^^ and due to be installed this Friday.
Looking forward to having my own review of a 1-piece aluminum d/s soon ... :-)

Well, the DSS d/s is in, I don't feel anything up to about 100, and only minor something then. Had it up to 110 with no issues.
I didn't cruise at those speeds since it was just a quick spurt there, relax a bit, then quickly back down to sane speeds.
No loop this time.

Just ordered mine. I never had an issue with the stock one but have been going 130+ on tracks am dynos so I'm due for an upgrade.

Didn't notice any faster acceleration with it?

Can't say for sure ... the car had no problem accelerating BEFORE these mods, and I really didn't go ape-**** on it after the stuff was done today, but I have a lot of driving to do over the weekend, and it's all gonna be done in the Mustang, so I'll come back with more reviews shortly :-)

I read that as well. I'm only going to an aluminum DSS is because I'm currently at 557whp and am about to crank up the boost to 14. Will get to 700whp with more boost and e85. currently changing to e85 as we speak, just waiting on my new fuel pump. Stock driveshaft won't suffice.

The 2 pc DS is a have POS, it truly is. We've seen some shred but 600+ HP will do that to you.
Gabe, I'd highly suggest getting a loop. We just picked up METCO and are doing a full stocking order. The front alone would help.

By the way, the original poster wants to decrease the noise, rather than add to it. So would a DSS aluminum driveshaft really make sense?
