Djstorm100 Build thread

My Dad and I have always feeded off one another. I'm the mechanic in the family, been doing it for 10 years and he could build anything (our shop, addition, our new shop, 2nd floor on our house, etc.)

Long story short I got back in to having a sports car, something I could tinker with and have fun. This week makes it a month since I bought slightly used 12' gt and month since my Dad bought 13 Shelby GT500.

So far Mods are
JLT oil separator
Boss front chin spoilder
Roush Grill
BMR LCA
Sound of Speed Pillar
Autometer Boost Guage
MRT Hood struts
JLT intake
Roush S/C
82mm Intake
VMP Tune from Justin
Leathal X pipe (no cats)
JPC upgraded Clutch line
GT500 Mufflers

What are all in these boxes??

A S/C will work just fine with the right tune. You'll eventually need a new clutch (if you're running manual). These cars are impressive in their ability to make 600+ hp with a blower on a stock bottom.

Had a rough week, got diagnose with diabetes. Checked my sugar level with 2 co-workers scanners and maxed them out. The scanners didn't even show a number just "hi". Went to the Dr. that day (yesterday). Same thing happen with the scanner. Got the blood work back yesterday...blood sugar level was 629..normal is 80-140. I haven't been feeling bad or anything like that, just thirsty.

So to make me happy so to speak, I pulled the trigger on some tools I've been wanting for a while. Going to pick up a hoist next week I think from pepboys (coupon)

IR 118max air hammer.... Badass is the only word to describe it. Ball joints and stuck items are going to be a breeze!

Ball joint kit for air hammer

front end service kit

IR air ratchet 107

Sorry to hear your news - but at least you are aware of it now and can get serious about treating it and making the necessary changes to get and keep things under control. Take care and keep us posted on how you are doing.

By the way - car looks awesome!!

Funny thing..I was thirsty all the time and one of my diabetic friends mention I should check it. When I did..it was "hi" so high that scanner/tester wouldn't spit out a number lol

Sorry to hear about the diabetes, your car looks great btw, hopefully you can get the diabetes under control. I had the same kinda thing happen I was in a health fair and just had them check my blood sugar for fun, it was 240, scared me so went to the doc and no need for insulin or anything, I just dropped about 20 pounds and have been able to keep it in the acceptable range.
Hope you can get yours under control easily.

Thanks buddy, I've got it down to normal level now from 629 lol. Took a few days to get the insulin up to start taking effect. It's odd I've always been healthy, played sports, play semi pro paintball etc 6'2 150 pounds now. I was 190 a few years ago. Now it's time to gain healthy weight.
