DD Mustangs

What exhaust are you running? Currently running Boss H-pipe and muffler delete.

Heard a Roush exhaust and JBA o/r h. Loved it. Is an o/r h excessive for a DD?

O/R H might be a bit much with the side pipes and muffler delete but only you would be able to decide that. I run the Flowmaster Outlaw cat back but tends to be pretty loud on startup especially when cold.

I wouldn't keep the deletes. Not that it would help but I would go Roush.

That vid is nothing if not next door to the worst sounding pile of crap exhaust ever strapped to a road V8. Keeripes, I grew up in the '70s during glasspacks or sidepipes on everything craze and that low compression shyt sounded better than that.

I'm running GT500 mufflers and an unrestricted Boss H pipe...and I think it's the perfect balance between loud/natural sounding V8 and no obnoxious tones (to my ear...)

Go for the Roush. I've had mine for almost two months. Love them. They are a bit louder with a cold weather start up. Nice at idle. No drone.

I have LT's, O/R X, and SLP's on my 2007. It's really not super loud if you are driving it like a regular person.

I haven't DD'd it for several weeks now though

Probably go with the Roush once the tax man visits.

I hate cold start ups, everyone looks at me like WTF? Think that's why I'm going to sell then and get gt500's

I am running the same on my 2012 Boss. I love it, but it is loud.

I'm thinking about getting the GT500 axle backs for my 14 GT. Bang for buck, plus not annoyingly loud like a Roush or Borla S. (To each his own. Not dissing those guys because their exhaust sounds amazing)
I wanted to pair it with the Boss Side exit exhaust, which includes the H pipe. Is that the same set-up you are running? Or slightly different?

Borla S-Type, Resonator delete. stock H-Pipe. works for me. :-)

I originally had GT500 Axlebacks with the above setup, but I wanted a little something "more" out of it all.

That is what I have on my '12 Boss. I swapped the stock axle backs for GT500's and pulled the restrictors from the side pipes. I would probably go to 3/4" restrictors but I am too lazy to put them in

I still think the Magna Flow Comp Series axle backs is still a very good sounding exhauste. Sounds great at start up and excellent sound at WOT. I've had so many complements on it. Even the Service manager at the dealership I go to just loves it. He plans on doing the same set up on his 2014 GT. and he has heard a lot of different set ups on Mustangs.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. The cats will stay because I don't wanna get a tune just yet. I want a ghost cam tune down the road.
