That was quick. I shudder to think what the cost of a cam swap will be.

If the cost of the 4.6 DOHC is any indication, the cams themselves will be north of $1000, then probably a couple hundred bucks for the cam phasers. Installation will be at least a 6-hour ordeal. So all said, I'd expect near $2k for these installed. Then of course you will not be able to take full advantage of the new cams without some kind of revision to the tune, so that is typically another $5-600. They better make some good power gains for that kind of cash outlay.

on a side note:
I think cams would really wake the car up even more and might not need ported heads based on how well they flow from what I'm hearing.

One other thing to take into consideration is to get higher-strength valvesprings to let the engine rev even HIGHER w/ the new cams...8000 RPM redline hello!

Pardon my ignorance, but why would you want to limit cam rotation? From all accounts, the Ti-VCT is not nearly as gimpy as the VCT on the 4.6L was.
Edit: Oh right, to keep the valves from contacting the pistons. Makes sense.

More info
Here's some more info on the Cams and Phasers.
http://www.stangtv.com/features/sema...m-phaser-kits/
• A wide variety of camshaft offerings in both naturally aspirated and forced induction applications coming
• Power gains of 30 to 60 horsepower have been seen on the engine dyno
• Cam phaser limiters reduce cam timing to 40 degrees on mild to moderate camshafts
• Adjustable cam lockouts give a single cam timing adjustment point on aggressive cams
