Cj pony parts back order?

Just curious if anyone else ordered anything during their latest sale, that then got backordered? Ordered a shift **** on feb 12th and status has yet to change. I know it says 5-7 because each shift **** is "custom". Called and was told it would be sometime in march before they would get it, than it would be shipped to me.

I ordered one some time ago and as I recall, it took about 21 days total to get to me. They really aren't backordered if you did one of the custom colored ones. They make them to order.


You will NOT be disappointed with the wait though. Best cosmetic mod that I have done!

Ok thanks for the info, yeah it's just a red one, white letters with 5.0 on sides.

Ordered a Boss 302 strut tower brace and nuts during the 20% off sale - two separate orders and both came in a few days. Back in December I ordered hood struts and those were back ordered but came within two weeks.

Nice...sounds about right for CJ's. It doesn't surprise me they don't have product in stock.

I ordered a shift boot retainer in black at the very end of December. I saw it said 5 - 7 days, but it too was back ordered. I just got it on Monday of this week, and there is no way I would even consider installing it. The anodizing was chipped (flakes in the bag) and there is a massive scratch on it. Once I receive a chrome replacement from an alternative vendor, I will be returning it. On the other hand, the shift knoob and hood struts that I ordered at the same time arrived in a few days with no issues.

Well still on backorder, guess its safe to say ill avoid cj's "sales" from now on.

Hmmmm, didn't it say 5-7 days at one time? Recently changed???

What you saw is the default backorder message, if you look in the product description you will see it says what I quoted.

It probably shouldn't be a default back order message then. Right? It clearly doesn't apply to every situation.

No our standard messages are as follows

In Stock - Self explanatory

Ships in 5-7 Days
This item typically ships within 5-7 days. - Out of Stock

Ships from Manufacturer
Item will ship directly from the manufacturer. - Drop Ship Items

Now if something like the shift ***** require extra time because they are custom made then we add that note in the Product Description as the system isn't going to know that because all it see is that is out of stock. Hope that explains it better.
