Brembo Spare tire
I have looked through all of the Brembo and Gt posts on members finding suitable spare tires for their cars and most are sticking with either the 18 by 8"s or stock 19's and just reducing air pressure to fit the 19 in the wheel well of the trunk.
Here's my question
Has anyone considered/done a 20 inch wheel, like American racing torque thrust M with a 245/35/20 tire? I was shopping tires/wheels yesterday for a spare and the guy suggested that this might me a good alternative? The AR TTM is 8.5 wide, vs brembo of 9, and would be similar in overall diameter, .3 less , and should fit in the wheel well and all four corners of the car.
Believe it or not the 20 inch version is almost as cheap as the 18 inch combo of Drag 31/34's with 225/50/18 tires.
What do you think?

If your front tire blows, just put the dummy on the rear and move the rear tire to the front. Cheap, light and easy to buy.

Negative! No one really wants to jack the car up twice after getting a flat. The best solution IMO is to find a wheel/tire combo that fits all four corners and also fits in the wheel well in the trunk. The difficult part is doing this at low cost.

Thats another thing you need, a JACK. If you have a nice jack and a cordless torque wrench, changing wheels is a joy. Other wise the OP's other best option IMO is to get a matching Brembo wheel.

I thought about the mini tire route but, usually a flat is at an in opportune time or in foul weather and the prospect of moving tires from front to back,etc., is not appealing.
The 19 brembo wheel idea is a consideration except that you have to reduce air pressure to get it to fit in the wheel well, I am strongly considering this option.
Mikey hit on the head, all these options are not cheap, too bad Ford put us in this predicament.
The question still remains, has anyone tried a 20 inch wheel as a spare?

I haven't seen or heard of anyone using a 20" rim and tire combo for a spare, but without taking measurements and/or trying it myself, I'm not going to say it can't be done... Be sure to let everyone know if you go this route and how it works

I run regular 18" wheels with winter tires with 25 mm spacers. Why I say you should run 35 mm is because space savers do not have holes to let the hub studs ... 35 mm should be enough to completely cover the original studs ...

I like the 18 space saver and 35mm spacer idea, I might find one on ebay.
The gt500 and brembo wheels are too wide and weight would be a factor, so far the 18 by 8 option with 225/50/18 seems to be workable.
I have just about given up on the 20 inch wheel again due to wieght and cost, 330 vs 280 for the 18 by 8 option.

Just did a quick check on Ebay, 18 inch mini spare is non existent, lots of 17's though, but they won't work.

Playing around on TireRack.com, looking for 18" snow wheel/tire (the only way the site will allow you to search for 18" wheels for a Brembo-equipped 2013 Mustang), using a 235/50R18 tire, I come up with this as the cheapest combo:

How did you verify that it will fit over the caliper? You could buy a nice impact wrench and a "dummy" for that price. And risk the 50/50 that your front will blow, then you need to spend 5-10 extra min. Either way, keep us posted if it fits and GL.

It's been posted a couple of times on this forum and allfordmustangs forum, mainly in 2011 with some follow ups in 2012.
Drag Wheel company also confirmed thru tire dealer Friday for me.
The donut tire does not help me and is just as expensive.
