Boss 302 Intake Manifold Questions
I have a new boss 302 intake manifold I'd like to install on my car but I had some questions first... Can I use this manifold with the stock CAI and a FRPP Pro-Cal or do I HAVE to have a new CAI with, say, an SCT tuner? I'd like to eventually upgrade my CAI and tuner but I already have the pro cal and a k&n high flow filter so I'd like to stick with it for now if possible. Can I?

What BlackOut2k11 said is correct. Here's how it works:
- Ford makes a duct that costs about $70 that connects the stock airbox to the new manifold. The regular GT duct won't work.
- The Procal tune doesn't compensate for the new manifold, so you need a new tune. That tune isn't available from Ford Racing, so you need to get an SCT tuner and buy a tune that works on the SCT. Bama, BBR and Steeda all offer the tuners and tunes as a package.

It's been pouring down rain so I haven't had a chance to really open it up yet... First impression: sounds awesome, looks great, no noticeable low end torque loss, picks up heavy around 5000rpm... I'll post more pics and info soon!

Finally hot some good weather to go play around in... Like I initially said, heavy pickup in the high RPMs, Can't notice any low end torque loss but that could be attributed to the 93 octane tune and the 3.73s... I'll bet it would be insane if I got a custom tune! Overall, I love it... I'd recommend the steeda CAI to anyone as it is sleek, sounds great, and runs directly to the air conditioning. The SCT tune made a huge difference in throttle response. And the manifold is great in the high-end + it looks awesome... I'm very pleased with all these products and they pair well with my exhaust...

out of curiousity, does anyone know how these part tie in with lets say the Borla-ATAK exhaust as far as sound quality goes?
