Oh yeah... ...
EDIT: Sorry about the rudeness.

And again I say, the BOSS manifold alone will provide a 45-60rwhp gain.

As every other post I've referred to included some tid bit about already having an intake and tune, I guess that was my bad for not making sure you knew that was a prerequisite. For giving you too much credit, I apologize.

With that said, there is no point in continuing this discussion. You are obviously incapable of understanding what so many others have come to accept.

My tuner (Woodbine Motorsports) has demonstrated the value of BOSS intake with other bolt-ons (CAI, his tune, full exhaust) and snapped off an 11.1 in the quarter mile (yeah, nearly a 10 second run) on slicks and skinnies. He's waiting for SCT to help unlock the inherent 7500rpm rev limit so he can spin it to 8000. What an amazing car off the showroom floor, and what an even more amazing car with a few bolt-ons. I have the Boss intake sitting in my garage, and will install and get tuned later in the month...

It's in the current issue of 5.0 magazine, Joseph "JJ" Jones...

One last try... Your snotty comment about me being too stupid to assume that a cai was already in place makes look like you think people will be getting "45-60" gain over a tuned motor with cai.

Yet....the horsepower increase you're claiming is over a bone stock motor...not one with a tune and a CAI!

Yes. If you have a CAI an a tuner, you can add the manifold for $440ish, tune for it, rev the heck out of it and get 50rwhp over stock....but this will only be 15hp or so better than the stock manifold with the aforementioned CAI.

Now is the story straight? I can almost promise you that we are the only ones reading this thread now.

****...that's an amazing time. I am really anxious to hear how these motors hold up to 8k.

That said, aren't people running in the 11s with just a tune and slicks already? Maybe not 11.1...but close.

I know people do stuff like this all the time but the redline of an engine is a seriously risky paramater to mess with. My car is not my daily driver either but until I finished paying for it, the redline is staying stock... just my preference.

What's a new/crate motor running now? $8,000?
I can rebuild it or buy a new short block. I just helped a friend swap a DOHC 4.6 we rebuilt into his V6 99' which was a PIA but it's nice. It was from a Mach. It sucks but we did with jack stands. . I financed less tha 15K so it will be paid off next spring or summer depending mod costs. I really want the Wiseco 5.8L shortblock but it will cost as much as a FRPP Forged 9.5:1 Crate engine which will have the Boss valve train. The 5.8L shortblocks require piston sleeves so the cost will be much higher than the 5.3L strokers. http://www.dragzine.com/tech-stories...er-351-coyote/

351 cubes would be bad *** with turbos.

Post Gasoline Consumtion with Boss Mani

I'm new to this parts upgrade thing. Just want to know if installing the mani will decrease considerable the mpg gas consumption?

No it wont affect mpg unless you drive it harder and you will. Ive got 52 passes on my car already since new and at least 20 of them are with the intake. The intake is worth every penny. Steeda sells a complete kit for $1,250.00. Their tune is really good too. As for rpm these motors will run at 7,400rpm all day long and I have numerous sources to verify that. 8,000rpm is a huge stretch but I guess you have to find the limit during R&D so you know where to set the SAFE limit.

My car was just dynoed today with a C&L manifold and American Muscle 93 octane tune to 378hp SAE--good for about 10hp. Air fuel was all over the map. Boss intake goes on monday with a custom tune, then we add an offroad h-pipe and redyno/tune later in the week.

Update: 393/348 with C&L intake, BOSS intake and custom tune. Pulls hard way past 7k. 3.31 gears sort of holding it all back, but putting on offroad h-pipe next and retuning. Not sure I want to do gears since I doubt I'll race it this year. Still have a lot of plans for the 2005 for that...

Thanks for the info. One of my friends that has a 2011 gt500 told me that the Mani with a cai and a custom tune from stang hi would put me up about 60 Rwhp . And I also read that in a mustang mod mag. So hoping for some good results.

the ONLY reason im not switching to the Boss intake, is the losses with cams on Non-ported heads.

im adding cams as soon as the warranty for the drivetrain expires. i do have a tune and the dealer knows it, but im not pusing my luck till its out of warranty. breaking stuff off at 460rwhp would be an issue i bet.

if i wasnt id have the boss on it now. cams work better on stock heads with the stock manifold.

Well it's confirmed my friend said at stang hi performance they installed a boss mani, cai, and custom 93 oct. Tune. The result is 435rwhp and 434 on torque after install. Before install 376rwhp not sure on the torque. That's great numbers! Can't wait I'm going get the same install in a month. Full exhaust coming soon!

Daaammnn.. that's awesome... but too good to be true?

I think we need a dyno sheet before anyone should believe this though...I'm very skeptical of the torque number but I have been wrong before.

Steeda is getting 369 ft/lbs with their CAI/tune/Boss manifold

The speed shop I'm going to is called stang hi performance I'm going there cuz my best friend has two stangs a 07 gt with modes out the a** and a 11 gt500 cobra he knows the guy that owns the place and speaks very highly of his work. So when I get the work done I will post the results. My friend said stang hi does great tuning work so maybe that's the difference.

The guy that owns stang hi is certified to work on cars built by saleen, rouch, steeda, and through ford to work on any performance mustang ford offers he even does work on the ford gt ( not the mustang of course). So I'm hoping for some good results

Got bad info the car my friend is talking about got LT's , high flow cats, xpipe, and axle backs, boss mani, and cai with tune and is making 455rwhp and that's dynoed in in 98 degree weather. So it'll make more Rwhp during fall and winter. I think that's pretty good!
