Big gains from ARH Headers

Well, we added American Racing headers to the car this weekend. We opted for the catted version and fit was great. We have it hooked up to a custom 3” Dynomax cat back and WOW, IT'S LOUD! We will be welding on the stock mufflers next week.
With no tune changes made we backed it on the dyno to see if all the hype was true.
Well it is, we picked up as much as 25 RWHP @ 6600rpm through ARH cats for a total of 415+ RWHP. Another local 5.0 gained 27 without cats through an auto. These things work!
I hope to get to the track Friday, so we’ll see what it does.
First graph is final numbers, 2nd is before and after. Before being JLT proto type, tune and 3" cat back.
Not bad
Here's a weak video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kprbn1NrmoA

Woohoo! Independent verification. Now if we could just get all the tuners to ship you a file for your intake.

Jay, thanks for the info.

So including the headers, what all mods does the car have to total the 415 mark?

Not Jay but...

Prototype JLT Intake, Tune, 3" Dynomax Cat Back = 393 rwhp

Add ARH Headers and Catted X = 415 rwhp

22 rwhp gain peak to peak. 25 rwhp gain max.

Huh? We are doing our own tuning, but soon others will have the intake to make their own files.

And thanks for answering tom.

It was a joke. I was talking about independent verification of some of those 40 rwhp tunes.

Got'cha. Yes, if someone claims 44-56 RWHP with nothing more then a CAI and tune, run, laugh or ask for a gaurantee

Your JLTII (Plastic) and Doug's (Bama) Mailorder Tune knocked off over 4/10 and added 3.5 mph to my 2007 (see signature). So I think the 27.9 rwhp on your site was pretty close on the 2005-2009 at least on my car.

Let us know how much power the stock mufflers cost (if any).

Just watched the vid and nice. I love the way the intake sounds like it could suck a small animal up off the side of the road LMAO. It really wasnt loud I thought. Maybe from the back of the car is much louder?

The secondcoming of the 5.0 is no joke, I keep changing my rwhp goals, first I wanted 400 now I'm betting 420 is possible NA.
