Which is better X or H?

For the new 5.0 Which one is better? Is one better then other for performace? But what I really want to know is which sounds better? I had a H on a 94 GT 347 w/ Kenne bell and switched to H and think I lot some loudness and rumble. Thanx

Sound is personal preference really.. Youtube is your friend

Performance wise, the X will make more power, but its very minimal. By that i mean 5 hp give or take a little

I have a 08 GT,I recently changed the h for a X-pipe and I just like it more,no idea how a x would be on the 5.0 though

X-pipe gives you more top wnd hp but some tourqe loss. Also a raspier sound. H-pipes give slightly more tourqe by managung backpressure and exhaust flow and gives you that deeper burbly sound much like old school muscle cars. The difference in power isnt vast but is noticeable once the revs start climbing. IMO it really just comes down to personnal preferance as the biggest difference between the two is sound. Are you tryin for a racier sound or a deep rumble muscle car sound?

Xpipe won't give you any noticeable hp over the H and they sound like crap. Go with the H.

Ive been in a few x-piped gt (2003,2008,2010) and ive felt a difference in the higher rpm's as i got close to redline. But i was actively searching for that feel. Normal driving yes there is no noticeable difference but when your bangin through the gears foot to the floor you can tell

But not really noticeable of a Hpipe. I would love to see a side by side dyno comparison.

There are a few comparisons around. Off of another site they did a same day comparison of the lethal o/r x pipe vs. o/r h pipe. The peak difference was only 3hp and 4.6lb of torque in favor of the x. Runs were made with a tune as well as both stock intake and Airraid intake. Not going to link another site off of here but can easily be found by Google searching 2011 mustang gt x pipe vs h pipe.

Performance wise the gains of the 2 will be negligible.

My wife recently described the difference as the H pipe I tried first sounded mean, the X pipe I liked and is still on my car as mean with a healthy measure of nasty thrown in! I think that sums it up well.
