Bama Tune w/ Auto

When filling out info for the tune is it necessary to mention that you have auto or manual? Does the tune change based on which you have? They say that the autos' shift points are tightened but is that only done if you mention it is automatic?

NakedCat,

Yes this is definitely necessary! We can adjust the shift points to be very aggressive on the Automatics, obviously we can't do that on manuals.

Let me know if you have any questions or need any further assistance! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

If it's "definitely necessary" then why not add it to one of the 19 questions... I was wondering the same thing, it's very vague when I filled mine out.

I had failed to mention that I had an auto the first time. This time I asked for an 87 street 93 hybrid(in place of the 93 performance) and a 93 race. I received the 93 performance instead of the hybrid which I asked for in the comments section. Hopefully they read that I have an automatic at least. I might just keep it until I get the 3.73 upgrade in March.

Dan just wanna say you guys are awesome as far as customer service and delivery speed. Everything I have ordered has been literally overnight from PA to Long Island.

Hey Guys,

Just a heads up... I forgot, but your PCM code identifies if you’re an automatic or manual transmission. I was wrong about us having a tab. We did a long time ago, but found it redundant and wanted to keep you guys focused on the important info that helps us create the best tunes for you! If you want to, you can talk to a Bama Tuning Specialist directly at the Bama Direct hours/phone number in my signature listed below. They’ll be able to walk you through the form, getting tunes downloaded and into your vehicle or even support after they’re loaded up!
