anyone running one piece aluminum driveshaft?

I thought about getting one of these. The gains seem consistent and worth it. Are there any daily drivability issues? I've seen some complaints of vibration but just wondered if that's an issue with improper installation.

If you decide to buy learn the differences they are not all the same. Only DSS and PST have solved the vibration issues and don't need to be aligned.

I have a Dynatech purchased from Brenspeed - no issues here except the tires spin more easily. Helps shifting too. I'm not very good at drag racing but I'm more consistent (12.2 - 12.4 on 4 of last 8 runs @115-116ish). For me 2/10ths variation is consistent so don't laugh - before the DS I was all over the ET map. The car has run an 11.9 with a different driver and borrowed set of NT05R DR's. I think I'm more consistent because I feel the throttle and tire spin better so I can control it better, or I'm just getting used to the feel of the car.

On concrete highway I was having an issue at 115-120mph but not on asphalt which didn't make sense (as far as being a driveshaft issue). So after playing with softening the shock dampening and adjusting the sway bar to a softer setting, and re-balancing the tires took that away so that was not an issue.

I've run it out to 5th gear redline on an empty clear private road. no issues.

The car runs smoother in normal driving. I have long tubes, no cats, and don't even hear the car when I'm driving at highway speeds in 6th gear. The road noise (which I thought was tires) is almost gone. The 275 wide NT05's do make some noise when you get over 80mph and mine are getting pretty thin now - about 7500 miles, about 40 trips down the 1/4, and lord knows how many burnouts.

With my comment above - that doesn't mean other's won't have an issue. I've purchased these on previous mustangs and didn't have an issue but I know people who have had issues with them.

A solid 1-piece drive shaft could bring out other issues - like a warped output shaft or worn pinion bearing in the center section that may not have been as noticeable with the 2 piece.

Honestly would have rather gone Carbon fiber but I didn't know it was available when I purchased mine last year. Dang.

I took to my alignment shop and it cost me $65.00 for an install so I didn't bother with it. It took them longer to take the old pile of crap out than to put the new one in.

Many choices that work:
Drive shaft shop
Dynatech
Shaft masters
Precision shaft technologies
I'm sure I missed a few
