What's a catalyzer?

I think you mean catalytic converter. Anyway, with that set up, it'd be loud but awesome. It's the same set up I'm ordering.

Just be safe with the tune you get and make sure the timing isnt too advanced. Sadly i just lost my motor to a bad tune due to too much timing with the Jon Lund 93 aggressive tune. I had the same bolt on setup with, Steeda CAI, LTs, o/r x-pipe, and borla axlebacks. Sounded really mean like a mix of an exotic car with a deep muscle car thurst. I'm having the car rebulit with the new Aluminator motor but be warned about the tunes and even tho you want to run the most aggressive tune you can get, just think twice about it.

Why would you purchase more expensive headers with more restrictive flow than cheaper ones with better flow? Hince us telling you about the ARH headers among other brands.

Only person I know if is a dude at fastlane performance here in Houston... He said the finish was stunning and they were great quality but he's since switched to ARHs and said the gains were significant compared to the xr1s... He's the one who talked me out of them...

Why pay 1500$+ for ARH stage3motor sports has stainless works 1 7/8" with cats for 1480$ and o/r xpipe for 1150$ high quality 304L stainless construction slip fit design and merge spike x design still high performance and high quality every bit as good as ARH just a lil bit more cost effective! IMO

Right, which is $334.90 more than stainless works. Think that was his point.

Sorry to hear about your loss...
So you have a Boss or a 5.0 with the 2 broken ringlands? which pistons 7 and 8?
Are you doing the motor yourself or a dealer? Also have u given thought to higher compression pistons to stay n/a? While you are in there are cams going in and Head work? Sorry all the questions? Where are you from? If you want to PM me I can give you some info about a great engine builder...

Its fine.. my father has a boss 302 and i have a black 5.0. I dont which pistons blew yet because the engine hasn't been tore down yet. The dealer voided my warranty for the tune so, im having steeda put in the new 5.0 Aluminator motor http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...KeyField=13113 for a decent price lol but none the less expensive. I was thinking about cam work but i was told the cams on the new 5.0 is very complex and it would prob harm you if you changed them. I plan on staying NA for atleast a year or so. I also live in South florida.

Yes the new 5.0, and true but just be careful where and what tune you get. Called ford racing and they told me alot of guys have burned holes in their pistons due to bad tuning and too much advanced timing.

Yeah will have to go at least a few times to find the sweet spot with the boss. And being I don't have DR's it will be a task to keep from spinning when launching. But we definitely ha e to go some time soon! As I will be doing my header/ o/r xpipe install soon after the boss goes on.

From what I've read blown pistons are from to much advanced timing leading to running too lean. In another words to aggressively tuned. That's why I'm going with steeda's tunes until I dyno tune

The piston failure isn't a common problem these days. Tuners have got their tunes on lock down for the most part. For tunes, look at Evolution Performance. Tell them EVERYTHING about your car and they'll get you the best tune possible.

Yeah well guy on this forum blew two pistons and said the cause was a bad tune from Lund! And I thought he was a reputable tuner apparently when u go with a after market tune u take the chance of getting a bad tune no matter who u go with. Better chance of not blowing ur engine going with a milder tune like steeda or bama who also offer a warranty with there tune. Play it safe do your home work!
