Airaid CAI Question
Fellow Airaid CAI enthusiasts:
Began putting the CAI together for my 2014 Mustang GT MT.
With a bit of encouragement, was able to get the blind grommet into the 3/8" port. Noticed there is a dull side and shiny side - for mine - I put the shiny side facing out. Had to call Airaid today (had to get another 5/8" grommet as I tore trying to install that one - nice enough to send me another one) and they said orientation of the 3/8" blind grommet does not matter.
Although, with the blind grommet installed - I noticed that it is easily able to rotate - and therefore would seem to maybe allow outside air to enter thru this port - which is downstream of the MAF - and perhaps not a good situation. In other words, although I cannot see any "gaps", it just seems "loose".
My question is - is this normal and should I not be worried? Or, should this be a tight seal?
