Airaid CAI

I have a Airaid CAI ordered for my 5.0 and will use it with the "no tune needed" insert for a while before I add a JDM Engineering tune and pull the insert.

My question is this, have any of you installed the Airaid CAI with the insert for the no tune needed application and had any problems with it? Or, has it run fine without a tune? Felt any difference in power? I think it is suppose to add about 11 HP and 11 Ft Lb's of TQ as well. Did the addition of the CAI increase the air intake noise?

Thanks much,

Phil

I did the Airaid CAI with no Tune. I can't remember feeling anything different but it's been on for about 10 months now. No probs at all. If nothing else it looks great

There was no increase in noise, but it did allow me to remove that goofy stock "sound tube".

Airaid CAI

I installed Airaid Cai on my 2012 GT/CS 6M Sunday. Left insert inside of tube, no tune as of yet. After I reconnected battery, car had trouble starting, then drove it 20 miles and now runs great. Feel more acceleration IMO and much louder sucking noise when you bury it. I took sound tube out of car and capped it with the included caps. Cabin is much quieter, until you mash it. Great product! Now have to decide on whose tune and axle back exhaust?
