Aftermarket coilpacks

Has this ever been proven to be a good modification, are there any truly independent tests?

I figure if i'm going to upgrade the intake manifold, cams and exhaust... then it's worth looking into.

Which coil packs are the best, or should I just stick to OEM?

What problem would this be addressing? Incomplete combustion?
I don't think that's a problem that these cars suffer from...so presumably we have enough of a spark on the stok parts...
...but I could be wrong!

I will be interested in any answers that come up.

AM on Accel ones for the 5.0:

Streetlegal on Granatelli ones on a Termi Cobra:

Granatelli themselves on a 2015 5.0:

Every one of those has a baseline stock coil run, then the upgraded coils run.

I searched for 'Mustang coil pack dyno' on youtube.

Obviously, they all show some improvements, but as to whether they're worth it or not... that's up to you.

Who's got the best? That's probably more subjective than anything, so I'd do some googlin' on the particular brands as an overall brand across all models, and then the specific ones for your motor.

OEM ones are best. They're a waste of money.

I think i'll give them a go, i'll just be sure to keep the oem ones!

What would be a good set of spark plugs to go with this, bearing in mind i'll be running stage 3 cams and all supporting modifications?
