5.0 Wheelie?

I know it probably sounds juvenile but I am curious, what would be needed to get a 2011-14 5.0 to do a wheel stand?

I don't mean JUST power.... I mean supporting mods. Stiffer front springs? One piece drive-shaft? Axles? Are slicks a must?
One of my dreams as a kid was to have a street-able (or even a DD) car that can lift up at a red light.

Now that I have more knowledge and possible means... I wonder how do-able it is.

Thanks!

Thanks! So softer hmm... in that case could I actually leave the normal GT springs alone? Or go EVEN softer?

Yea probably a clutch. There's really no stopping the mods. Depends on how many wheelies you wanna get in before breaking lol

Slicks, paxton, soft springs, no sway bar and a driver mod....

.....but I doubt you will find a street with enough VHT to lift a tire.

Exactly. Lets say though that slicks would hook up.
I would assume almost an entirely new rear end, 9" maybe? to take that kind of abuse. I'm trying to think of things I wouldn't usually think of. What about when it comes back down... The landing?

This may be a harder question to answer, but how much power is needed? assuming tires hook up.

You answered it! That's how it's done!

Bags on the front!, All you have to do is, with decent traction, bounce the front and floor it and it looks like you're pulling a wheelie! lol

I like it. lol

Be hard pressed to pull wheel stands on the street from a light lol. Prepped track and properly setup suspension is key

Some dreamns are best left in childhood. Physical reality sadly suggests this'll be very costly if not darn near impossible on a low friction surface street.

You can slack off the rebound damping in the front and dump all the compression damping in the back with an adjustable shock. With sticky tires, soft springs and sway bars out, you should be able to create the illusion of a wheelstand but, the power requirements for an actual one are pretty high.

Of course, everything you do to get this will impair the real-world streetability and reliability of the car.

Its not impossible to do a wheel stand on the street.
Your definitely gonna need very good tires and alot of power as mentioned. Your also gonna need some traction compound like pimp juice.. you will also need a nice flat, clean of debris street in the right conditions. Its just not really practical but still possible.
I wouldn't build a car specifically to do this though. With what it would take to do a proper street stand you would already have built a nice track car. But just doing a wheel stand isnt gonna cause any damage unless you get scared and let off. This is pretty common though the first time you bring the front end up. Lol. When you let off the front end will come smashing down.

Please, that car is impressive but that is 60' of NHRA style prep. Look at the VHT and rubber.....

He gets out of the groove and lifts because the car starts too spin...

And why do you want to make it do a wheel stand? Besides to bend and crush the front suspension? And why on the street? Too many Fast and the Furious movies it sounds like to me
