Getting gears this weekend for my 2011 5.0 auto. Breaking my head on what to choose. 3.73 or 4.10 . I usually do 1/8 mile and will drive up a few hours to a 1/4 mile track. Which one should I choose? A little help Mustang brothers...car has flowmaster American thunder classic, c&l cold air intake, lethal performance catted x pype, and an SCT tune.

 

from the research i have done, 3.73 with our auto will give us equivilant to the 4.10s on the manual, i would personally go with 3.73s..

I have 3.73's in my auto. I run 70MPH @ 2350, 75 @ 2500, and 80 @ 2650. It's the best bang for the buck mod on the automatic and keeps you in the power longer and helps get you through the gears faster. If my car was a drag-only, then I'd do 4.10's but I'm glad I've got 3.73's for the highway driving I do.

 

@jsayng - sounds like I will be going with 3.73s. I have fun on the track on the weekends but it is my daily driver so sounds like that gearing is the best for both worlds. Thanks for the help

 

Thinking about switching gears also... where have you guys found the best deal for 3.73's i had 4.10s on the SC Saleen.. but since this is goign to be a daily driver i want to go with 3.73
