2015 intake manifold/heads

What do you guys think? Will these parts offer any significant benefit to our motors?

With so many people buying the Boss manifold despite a general performance loss (in the RPM range that our non-forged motors run) it seems like an intake manifold that offers real performance benefits would sell like crazy.

Anyone else keeping an eye out for this one?

Not enough details available yet to know if the intake will do us any good or fit properly.

The heads look more promising, but you could just get a set of Boss heads and be just as well off, or get a set of pro ported bigger valve heads.

Certainly not as attractive visually as the extant car. I expect this is a prototype shot anyway.

No one is expecting more then 420 horse out of the next gen 5.0, at least at first so, I expect there isn't a big gain here.

Why do you say that???

Current motor is 420 and Ford is promising a boost on that for the '15.

I expect that the '15 will be rated in the 440 range.

They are promising a boost eventually but, are somewhat cagey around whether that is 2015 or later. I'd save it myself a bit, as the car will sell with around the power it has and the weight reduction will add some jump. You won't see much significant power up until the engine goes DI, imho.

Never did Ford say "eventually", all statements are that the '15 will have more power than the previous year.

I don't think they would be this tight lipped about 5 h.p. I think we can expect to see close to 450hp

They already said they are not raising the rev limit, so I wouldn't even expect Boss 302 power levels. Without making major changes to the coyote like DI, Boss 302-like rev limit, etc they probably can't get much more out of it.

The CMCVs, reworked cylinder heads and cam profiles, sounds they are squeezing the last bit of power/efficiency they can out of the current setup.

I would guess something like 430hp, tied with a slight bump to low-end torque and mileage.

This is what I've been saying. I guess 430/400.

Maybe it's just me... but I haven't noticed a visual difference yet... what am I missing here?
