2014 Shelby Supercharger Boost Inquiry

I read somewhere that the 2014 Shelby GT500 supercharger draws about 150 horsepower to operate.

But does anyone know how much horsepower the supercharger gives back?

Thanks.

Hameedi is on the books saying at full boost the 2.3 TVS absorbs around 100hp. It should be roughly good for about 250-300hp of the 2013's 662 flywheel HP given that in previous iterations the M122 was good for 150-200hp.

It doesn't draw any horsepower. It adds horsepower. And if you get an even more efficient blower, it adds more with less effort. Don't be concerned with the amount of power it takes to spin a blower. 650+hp stock is all that matters.

When you dealing with parasitic loss it's hard to tell you the efficiency without the base HP of the engine. What I can tell you is that all the calculations will be dependent with boost. The more boost, the more efficient, "volumetric efficiency". We have seen blowers consume 400HP but give us back 4 times that in gains. Mind you that's @40 psi..+ -..

Man, what size blower were you running at 40 psi?

The interview I saw (or was it read?) said that at full throttle the engine produces about 800 horsepower, and since there's 662 left to spin the transmission, there's about 138 horsepower consumed in spinning the blower and overcoming other pumping losses and friction in the engine itself.
