2013 Mustang GT w/Borla Atak catback makes noise..

Hello to all MUSTANGHOLICS!

I just installed a brand new Borla atak catback on my 4000miles Mustang GT.

First of all, I have to say that Borla did a great job making this crazy sound! I am loving it!!

But, here is the problem.

Whenever i go over the speed bump or any bumpy road, i hear the banging sound from the rear. (I am assuming that the muffler is hitting my bumper. I am not sure though).

Also, right after i do 5-6k rpm, i hear this metal to metal touching(scratching) each other noises. It sounds like squeaking//creaking sound. (like.. when you scratch the blackboard with your nails. just little though.)

Anyone had the same issue as mine??

I would love to hear your opinion guys!

Thank you!

Sounds like your pipes may be hitting your rear axle or something in the vicinity. Make sure everything is right. I had the same problem and noticed every clamp was lose and it was hitting my axle.

Something must be misaligned or bent,...put it on jacks with rear suspension loaded and start trying to move the pipes around an see where it's hitting. You should be able to locate the spot.

Borla fitment sucks! Had the exact same thing happen with a Borla catback on my then new 2007 GT Mustang. RR tracks, dips in the road, manhole covers, you name it if I went over them at normal driving speeds I got clangs, bangs and other racket from the Borla catback. Everything was tight, but then a good dip in the road or train tracks at speed would cause the whole system to slap the undercarriage. Best bet is to ditch the Borla setup for something decent like Magnaflow for a factory like fit.
