2013 Mustang GT boss 302 Intake swap
2013 Mustang GT boss 302 Intake swap
Im thinking about later on doing a boss 302 intake swap, first question is, would that void the warranty or how can the warranty be protected to install this OEM part?
second question, I'm assuming the car would gain a small amount of HP and the RPM redline can go higher?
would the engine need to be tuned as well? but tuners void the warranty if I'm not mistaking?
i guess the biggest issue for me would be to not void the warranty, but its very temping to do this swap.

Oh and obviously the intake is not the ONLY thing that needs to be bought, there is more to buy to do a complete swap on a GT to a boss 302 intake

You won't see any benefit from the boss intake without a tune, in fact your car will be slower for sure.
It's my opinion even with a tune your car would be slower unless you did the proper supporting mods, which if you're that worried about voiding your warranty you probably won't want to do. Talk to some more people who have actually run the intake themselves, then make your own mind up.

well I'm getting the track package, and then ill be upgrading to GT500 mufflers, then K&N intake so i figured a boss intake would be beneficial with all of that.
would i need to tune with GT500 mufflers and k&N intake?
dos a tune alone void the warranty or can the tune be set back to stock at any time?
im kinda new to the newer cars and mods, i mostly work on classics.

You really should just do a lot more reading if you think the Boss intake will help with just those mods. It will not. Check out a forum called S197forum there are a lot of guys on it who have run it. They can help you understand what you're getting into.
