2012 traction

Good evening everyone from KC!!
I have a question!! I have a 2012 GT, and it's been lowered 1.25"!! I still have the stock LCA's on! It's also. 6 so manual!! With stock tires! But I can be cruising at around 50 mph and down shift let the clutch out than floor it, the rear end squats does and takes off like a rocket, but than the tires break loose and starts spinning and the next thing I know I'm redlining . So I was wondering if I got new LCA's with new relocating brackets and mount them to the 2nd hole, would that help!!
I'm planning on going and get wider tires, like 285x19. I heard that these tires won't rub!!
Also from a dead stop and taking off, I don't get any wheel hop at all, but it's the same, the rear end squats down, it takes off like a rocket, but once it hits the power band, that's it, tires break loose and the rear end all over the place!!
So any help would be great!!

I've actually been curious about the same thing.
I plan on taking my car to road courses, and I'm interested to hear what the best size is for that. My car comes with 255/40-19, and I've been contemplating 275/40-19 or 285/35-19. I'd like to avoid staggered configuration if possible.
Will I be able to fit these tires up front without rubbing on 19/9.5 wheels? I'd appreciate some input from those of you who tried it. Thank you!

Your headed in the right direction, yes upgrade the lca, and add relocation brackets. the 285/35/19 will fit even all the way around with no rubbing. But the most important piece is to get a uca and bracket. all these in tandum will get you the grip you looking for without the squat!

I am still breaking my car in so haven't really touched redline much at all but I get a little wheel slip in 1st then 2nd seems to hook up real nicely... I have the track pack with 255 tires that are be 220 tread wear rating, so quite sticky.
To the original question wider all around seems to be pretty common with the road racing folks. I will probably do 285-295 rears and 275 fronts on 18" wheels for a track setup. For the street I would think if you went with OEM size but stickier compound you should be able to hook up nicely

Can you fit 18" rims over the Brembos up front?? If so that would certainly be a less expensive way to go. What would be the aspect ratio of this setup. 285/40/18?

That amazes me 18's would fit over the Brembo Calipers!... Looks pretty snug with the OEM 19's to me... But just goes to show you it never hurts to try! Good to know!

There's actually a little more room between the caliper and the back of the spoke, compared to the stock Brembo wheels that came with the car.
Also, these are 9.5" wide and have a 45mm offset, whereas the stock Brembos are 9" wide with a 42mm offset, so these stick out about 3mm more (about 3/16").
