2012 GT Premium + $15K?

Let's say you just got a brand new 2012 GT and were given $15K to make any changes you wanted - performance, suspension, braking, wheels, tires, body kits, etc.

How are you spending the $15K on your new Mustang?

If I were building a drag car, I'd order it with an automatic transmission, then with the $15K in changes....
  • Vortech V3 Si HO Supercharger
  • Big stall converter (4500 to 5000 rpm's)
  • 4.10 gears
  • Custom dyno tune
  • Aluminum 1-piece driveshaft
  • Driveshaft loop
  • Bogart drag wheels with big (drag radials) & littles
  • 6 point roll cage
  • Race seats with racing harnesses
  • Helmet & fireproof jacket (I already have them from my '07)
That should be good for a low 11 second (or high 10's) quarter miler, and I might even have a little money left over.

I'm thinking you get it repainted with orange to purple mystichrome with the Hot Wheels Body Kit first. Then get 3" lift with wheel well cut outs, 23" ballin rims with low profile rubber, double layered 5% limo tint, 4 Kicker 18" subs in the trunk with 5000w JVC amp, red leather wrapped bench seats front and back, rare walrus skin wrapped dash and console, suspension hydraulics, fuzzy dice, amd top it all off with a cherry bomb exhaust. Also, I would add a JLT Oil Separator.

Has anyone seen pics of a setup like this? I would be interested to see!

I think id put the 15k on principal to get it paid off quicker, and be out of debt for it.

I think I would start with a significant power adder such as a Vortech or Edelbrock blower, this would probably take half my allocation with some headers and exhaust mods.

I would then opt for new wheels, tires, and suspension upgrades. I need to do some research to as to the optimal setup for street ride and performance.

Lift it a couple feet, put some off-road 44s, snorkel, take off the sway bars, maybe put power to front wheels as well? Welcome to the Glades :P

I'd trade the 2012 GT in on a BOSS 302 and use the $15k to make up the difference.

Here is me dreaming...how about a new 2012 GT, I cannot decide on color, Premium interior to be forthwith removed and replaced with fine quality bomber jacket leather interior (like the Aviator 'Stang someone did a year or so ago), 20" Foose or Shelby wheels, whatever Boss Suspension is available thru Ford Racing catalog, Boss quad exhaust, Boss intake manifold and custom tune. Custom over-the-top stripes in a tasteful color, Real Rosewood dash inserts...or just buy a Boss with Recaro seats and call it a day.

I would do what Brewsky would do....but a different paint job.
I would get SKITTLES or Frosted Flakes logo's along the whole side of the car.
and I would replace the body with a 78 Caprice.

Take the 15k and pay down the principle.

Paint the whole thing Denver Broncos Blue, with orange over the top stripes, customized blue leather seats with orange stripes up the middle, a Broncos helmet for a shift ****, broncos icons where the triple striped mustang symbols would go on the sides of the car, and CRZHRSE(Crazy Horse) for the plates. Since all that shouldn't cost any more than $3000, the rest will go into the car wash/ maintenance/ emergency payment fund.
