Isn't it also standard on the GT convertible regardless of wheel size?

KC,

I think this would look great under the hood, I'm guessing there is no way it will clear a factory 07 hood though. Is this a fair assumption or could I make it work?

It won't clear. No power dome hood.

I found this:

https://themustangsource.com/showthr...40#post5728140

So maybe KC can chime in on it?

*EDIT* I found this:

https://themustangsource.com/showpos...5&postcount=13

and this:

https://themustangsource.com/attachm...7&d=1199807341

I have lowering motor mounts, so now I'm curious exactly how much of a height difference there is. May be able to make it work!

Engine height isn't the problem. Your strut towers are still in the same place and I don't believe your hood will accommodate. There's no way I'll be able to find the thread, but I remember when I was researching the 10+ strut tower brace someone with an 05-09 tried it and there wasn't enough hood clearance. Either way, KC should be able to confirm.

My understanding is that ALL 6 and 8 converts. will have them . All G.T.s and V6's will have them regardless of option packages etc. AS LONG AS 19,s are put on the car.

why would it be for only the 19" wheels? Is that if you get the brembo package only, or if you get any 19" wheels when you order?

If it was like for the 2010s, you get them with the 19" wheels to manage the extra mass and its effect on the handling set-up. The 18" wheels weight less than the 19s.

If you look through those links, you'll see a comparison shot of the bullitt STB vs the '11. The '11 is much lower, I don't know an exact number or I would know if it would work but it looks to be around 6" easily. There is also a link that shows that the '10 braces will fit, some require you to trim the hood blanket. Silver Horse Racing had a post in the thread about a customers car that had one on his.

Maybe that helps but hopefully we can get a more definitive answer.

hmmmm . . . 08/09 Bullitt had a strut tower brace, those have the same hood as the '07, no? so why wouldn't the same design as used on the Bullitt fit?

Does anyone have the part# for this? I tried searching for strut tower brace on fordparts.com, but came up empty.

You should be able to re-use the nuts that are there...

I think it will clear the hood on the 05-09 just fine, the problem may be that it won't clear the motor.

If you look at pics of the 2011 5.0 bar, it is much flatter than the 2010 bar so it may be that it won't clear the intake on a 4.6.

Just picked up my 2011 GT Premium (White with red interior) 6/24/10. I thought all came with the bar but looks like I was wrong. Is it an easy install?
