I noticed the differance on my 08 GT just driving down the street after I installed the Steda strut tower brace. I'm glad this comes on the 11GT if you get the 19 inch wheels.

 

Looks like I found my first mod after I get mine.

This may sound like a dumb question but will the tower brace work on the V6? (Not worried about the towers being in different places... just curious about the engine/hood clearance.) And can I get it without the GT emblem?

 

The performance pack V6 cars coming out late will have a strut tower brace, probably the same as the GT but without the GT emblem.

 

It looks like the emblem on the GT brace is riveted in place. If it does fit, the rivets could be drilled out if the emblem is bothersome.

 

I don't think it will bro. The braces I have seen on the V6 performance pack look like they have a higher peek on them. Why else would they use a different design?

 

Yeah, I just looked a the Car and Driver video on YouTube and they had a Grabber Blue MCA with the performance pack with the brace -- looks a little different than the GT brace. I will definitely be adding that. It's one of those bits when you open the hood that says, "I'm serious."

 

I wonder if a 2010 V-6 strut tower brace will fit a 2011 V-6, or should i wait. This is going to be my first mod.

 

I'm going to go with "no" . . . given that the engine is entirely different.

I'm spending $30k on this car. I have no problem waiting to spend another $100-$150.

 

I believe it's the same part number.

 

Can anyone confirm that the struts tower brace is only for 19" wheel cars for the 2011? I was under the impression that all 2011 GTs had it.

 

Don't know about all 19" wheel cars getting one but all Brembo cars get one. And no, not all 2011 GT's get them.

 

Just 19's. Check out pics from IT_Guru's car. Its a 5.0 without the brace.
