According to what I have learned from my dealer no six speed manual cars have shipped yet.
Just automatics.
Right now he says that they may start shipping this week.
My dealer so far has been pretty good with information to this point, so take it for what it is worth.

I actually haven't seen a manual in the wild yet. All the GTs around here are Automatics, and the one guy on these forums who has a 5.0 ordered an automatic. Others have said similar things. I don't know if it's a hold or if Ford is still trying to clear the AAI lot and there were just a huge horde of automatics out front with all the manuals out back. Who knows. This is all conjecture.

And yeah, EP got their's, but they might have had something special.

 

Actually thinking about it more it's probably just coincidence. Automatic trannies are pretty popular! There are a few people on the forums who are expecting their manuals to arrive by the end of the week.

 

all the 2011's here are automatic....besides a GT500. first time ive ever seen an automatic GT get here before a manual.

 

Maybe since they are a vendor they got one. Don't know.
All I can go on is what I am told.
Also that is the only manual 2011 I have seen on any Mustang forums the rest have been automatics.

I can say mine has been built since 4/13 and the ETA has gone from 4/17 to 4/23 to no ETA now. A couple of others had ordered automatics that were built on the same date or after mine and they either have their car or it is in route and mine still sits in a parking lot collecting dust.

 

Mine was shipped on Friday, Manual 5.0 California Special. They are definitely moving the manuals.

 

Ordered 2-12 built 4-8 1st ETA 4-19 2nd ETA 4-26 3rd ETA 4-26.Wait that don't seem right!

Called the 800# today & the ETA is 4-26.Thats the best they can do they SUCK!My car is still sitting in the parking lot.The famous RAMP 51 yea you guys know this lot by now!My car is becoming very familiar with RAMP 51!

Looks like ordering this car might have been a mistake.By the time it gets here it's already been sitting in the weather for more than a month.Unless I get it b4 5-8.This is completely my fault for thinking they would ship the car soon after building the thing!

Maybe I'll just go get my $10.000.00 back & wait till next year.

 

why get bent all out of shape over a very minor shipping delay?

 

No doubt, It will get there when it gets there. Checking for daily updates is not going to get the car to you any sooner. It's just going to make the wait even more agonizing.

The dealer up here in Canada told me my car should be arriving this week, maybe he doesn't know what he's talking about, maybe he does. I guess we'll see.

 

I'm that type of person that will garage the car & treat it like my baby & they're mucking it up by letting it sit!

I owned a show car for 24 Yrs & did my best to take care of it.Bought it in 1985 paid $2,200.00 for it sold it 2009 for $13,500.00!This doesn't happen by mistake you have to take care of the thing!Had the enjoyment of working on the car improving it driving it owning it showing it & felt like I did the right thing!

With all this said stop mucking up the car I ordered & SHIP IT!So I can take care of it!

Seriously... if it doesn't hail, what's gonna happen to the car when it sits out there surrounded by hundreds of siblings? You'll probably going to wash the car anyway once you get it, so who cares if it gets rained on?

 

Your better off not complaining on here about waiting for shipping. I did and boy did I get flamed. It's worth it in the end, but it is YOUR money and if they are not providing updates in the time frame you see fit, then as the customer you have every right to cancel and take you money somewhere else. Most on this site will not agree, but it is your right as a consumer.

BUT, trust me it is worth waiting, once they actually ship it, the time moves quickly. Once you drive it, the waiting all melts away and seems like a distant memory.

 

FWIW, I just got off the phone with AAI. The rep confirmed that mine has shipped (around two weeks ago) and it still has a 5/6 ETA to Texas. Mine is a 6 SP M/T.

Not sure why this got moved, it has to do with shipping 2011 Mustangs...

 

My MT V6 supposedly is in transit too per my dealer AND the Ford rep that I talked to on the phone Wed or Thurs last week. From the converstion with the Ford rep, he had me thinking that the current ETA of 4/28 was accurate and it would be arriving any day ... most likely by the end of the week (last week).

Shipment by rail from the factory to Chicago should happen within a day.
Then maybe a couple of days to unload the rail cars and get the cars organized on a holding lot.
Then maybe a couple more days to get them loaded on transport trucks.
My dealer is no more than 4 hours from the Chicago rail yard, so I can't see it taking a transport truck more than a day to deliver a full load to various dealers.

If mine and others here on TMS with similar ETA's don't start showing up by the end of this week, I'd be willing to bet our cars are still sitting in the AAI lot for some reason.

Another thing I wasn't happy with the 800# about is I asked the rep about the $750.00 rebate.The response I recieved there is no $750.00 rebate for the 2011 GT.

So I asked again & mentioned that others had recieved a certificate#.Same response rep said maybe it's for the 2010.So I mentioned that it was supposed to be good for the 2011 also.The rep said NOPE only the 2010.Just not very happy with them.

Got my 2010 brochure in the mail no rebate for the GT just V6.Did preapprove me for FORD credit though.I'll order the 2011 brochure online.I'm positive it will show up b4 the car.

BETTER GET THEIR BUTTS IN GEAR IF THEY WANT MY MONEY!

They can FLAME me all they want don't bother me.Everyone is entitled to their opinion so BRING IT.
