I had the 20's, and the weight, plus not being able to put that much sidewall without the wheel and tires being too big was a pain. I know dropping down to 19's didn't give all that much more room but the price on the 18's with tires was more than the 19 package from AM. In the end I knew I would be happy with the wheels I chose in 19's because that style wheel mostly comes in 19's.

The weight may not be a concern for you though. The wheels that Hytek posted are another good option. It's really just a matter of taste. I had the deep dish wheels and didn't like them as much as I thought I would. I am loving the new AMR wheels now though! Go with your gut man! It's your car and your taste.

Great comments! The reason I wanted 19s was because my car is equipped with 19s now and the sidewall is perfect in my opinion. I was also considering 18s because of selection and pricing. The 19 inch tires are pretty high from what I have seen. 20s are tempting but the lower sidewall worries me a bit. Tough choice no doubt! Man o man, not sure what to do now

Bmeline bought those FR500 wheels from CC. Once he posts pics on his thread you will be able to see how they look on our cars. His car is grabber blue but you will get the idea of how they look.

Looks like I am leaning towards the Black with polish lip 20 inch FR500s. Is it possible to go with a 305 35 20 on the rear? Or should I go with 295 30 20? I want the mettiest tire possible on both front and back. Currently looking at 255 35 20 up front. Thanks guys

The 295/30/20's side wall should be about the same as the 255/35/20's. And Yes you can do 305/35/20's in the rear.

Nitto makes the NT05 in 315/35r20 and also the NT05R in the same size but as a drag radial. That's probably the widest you can go with those wheels. Cruizin concepts has both but for some reason I can never find the regular NT05 separately, it's usually with a combo package. Discount Tire carries them as well. Those are probably the most affordable in that size.

Hytek is the 315 a street tire? I was trying to steer away from drag tires. Do you think 315 would do the trick with 255 up front?

Man hytek looks like those nt05 are pretty good tires and a good price. I hope that 315 does not rub on my fender

I went through 3 sets of wheels/tires before I found the size and look I was happy with. Mine came with the 19's. I thought the GT500's would look good so I got a set of 2010 18" take off. I loved how wide the tires were but to me they looked too small. The next set was the FRPP 20" spyder wheels, they were to narrow and to me they looked too tall with my car being lowered, I finally went with 19" RTR's. The 20's do weigh a lot more.

Good luck with the shopping, I know it's a pain to find what you really want, I was trying to go the cheaper route but wasn't happy so in the long run get the ones you want the first time (now I have a nice wheel/tire collection LOL)

I hear ya brother, it is tough no doubt! I want the wide tire look on my car and hoping to get it with the 20s. I like the rtrs but wish they were wider out back. What is the size of your tires? 19s are perfect in my opinion but the price of tires is un real compared to 20s

Yeah the pricing on 19" tires are crazy, I went with 255/40/19 on the front 275/40/19 rear. I wanted the closest to stock tire height so my speedometer wouldn't be off. The rear tires are very close to the stock 19's

Yeah those are street tires. The NT05R is the drag radial, but they look very similar. The continental ExtremeContact DWS's come in that size too which is the route I'm going so I can leave them on all year here in IL.

Hytek,

Are you going with 315s? What size wheels do you have?
