I didn't realize the filter is rotated the wrong direction until I uploaded the photos

How did that change the sound of your car? Are those Maggy Streets still too quiet?

Sometimes I can hear the CAI sucking in air, but other than that I didn't notice a change in sound.

The Street Series is no longer quite after the addition of the Magnaflow offroad-x.

Yeah that's what I meant. It is kind of ugly, IMO.

Looks good anyhow. Should be easy to fix. One question. In order to connect the tube to the throttle body, did you have to remove the top cover over the engine? And does it just pop off or is it fastened somehow?

Cheers.

It just pops off and on really easy. It takes 2 seconds, no big deal.

Did you get a tune with the CAI or is that a "no tune" CAI that won't mess up your AFR?

The Steeda most definitely needs a tune as the MAF tube is considerably larger (95 vs 85mm)

Forget the looks. How does it perform? How is the Bama tune? To bad you could not get a before and after dyno. Should have picked up 25rwhp going from 93 to 93.

I have the same set up, only from Brenspeed, and performance wise there is a real kick in the pants. Stock at the track my best run was 13.02 @ 109 2.0 60ft, after the steeda and SCT street tune the best I could manage (manually shifting) was a 12.42 @ 112 1.9 60ft. I'm losing a lot of time shifting myself, and in the 60, but the car breaks loose on the 1-2 shift and refuses to hook up (I'm on the all season P-Zeros), maybe with some slicks I can hit 11.9-12.0.

I just didn't want to waste the money on a dyno when I've been spending so much on the car ... hah

Performance, honestly, I'm not sure. IMO, it seems whatever performance is overshadowed by the obvious changing of the drive-by-wire throttle. I've only tried the "race" tune.

Fly down here to Memphis and bring a briefcase full of $6M so we can reopen Memphis MotorSports Park. haha. It was the closest 1/4 track at only about 30 minutes away, the next closest is 4 hours?

Actually, there is a 1/8 mile track about 30 minutes away, but I can't drive on the stock 235 tires. Need some big boy drag radials, but don't want to pay for them.

Soon as I finish my coffee, I'm installing my Steeda CAI with Brenspeed tune. It came in the mail yesterday. I won't be having any dyno info either, but since it's a canned tune it's a good chance it's a tiny bit off and not making all the power it can anyway. I didn't get the Steeda tune because Brenspeed was cheaper for the same CAI and computer. Since both companies are experts when it comes to Mustangs and tunes I went with the cheaper one. Hey 40 bucks is 40 bucks.

wow! 0.6 pickup with just the cai and tune? that's VERY impressive. I believe it though. My 05 was a completely different horse after I got my cai and tune.
